Many of them need a deeper level of support as they are trying to heal long term depression, trauma, addiction, and other complex challenges. These seekers need the support that clinical professionals, coaches, and other healing practitioners can provide when they have received high quality training in psychedelic harm reduction and evidence-based methods for psilocybin facilitation.

Our program offers an in-depth curriculum that meets and exceeds legal state standards for licensure. The curriculum perfectly balances the wisdom of traditional consciousness-based uses of the sacred mushroom with leading edge research and clinical applications. Our practicum program alone provides 100 hours of in-depth, supervised, direct care training in individual and group preparation, administration, and integration practices and 50 hours of consultation and mentoring with the faculty. Bodhi Academy’s faculty are leading experts in the field of psilocybin services. They helped build the nation’s first legal system in Oregon based on their combined decades of experience and expertise in supporting the use of natural psychoactive medicines. Our training team members were among the first in the world to receive state licensure in psilocybin facilitation. Since the launch of legal access programs in Oregon and Colorado, they have delivered more than 80 professionally guided journeys to individual, couples, and groups with special focus on trauma resolution, addiction recovery, emotional healing of grief and loss, and cultivating peak, mystical experiences for lasting change.

Hands-On Synchronous Training and Practicum Experience: Our comprehensive approach gives you the opportunity to practice with fellow students in live role plays and at a practicum retreat that offers the opportunity to work facilitate psilocybin sessions in individual and group settings. You will master client preparation, dose and strain considerations, set and setting, co-facilitation and team facilitation, individual and group administration, and integration skills with the guidance and supervision of our experienced faculty.

In-Person Practicum Retreat

You’ll gather at a stunning retreat location for the administration portion of your practicum. At the retreat, you’ll practice individual and group administration and retreat-based integration sessions with the guidance and support of supervisory faculty.


You have the option to experience psilocybin as a student-client and receive facilitation services from members of your training cohort. If you do not wish to consume psilocybin, other modalities for inducing non-ordinary states can be substituted such as sound therapy. Micro- and midi-dose options are also available. You’ll have the opportunity to attend daily debriefing, supervision, and mentoring sessions with the practicum supervisors.
